There's a place called sorrow's end


where the forgotten make their way to


and memories gather


drawn by cries of lonely souls


seeking the company of the living


and comforted by the presence of the newly departed


in death do they rejoice


free of the aimless pursuits of life


but unable to reach the home of eternity


and thus wondering the earth


reaching out with invisible hands to grasp


opening formless mouths to call out to me


awaking dismal thoughts once hidden deep


in the darkest reaches of my being


drawing me close in their embrace


leading me to a place that ends all ends


which they call sorrow's end
